Kilims are flat tapestry-woven textiles without knotting. Kilims traditionally weren´t woven with comercial purpose, but for domestic use, and therefore the women weren´t under pressure to change their designs, nor follow fashion or external taste. Thanks to this, their designs have continued until over time. Normally they weave with sheep´s wool, but occasionally nomads use camel and goat´s wool. Also, as decoration they can add glass or ceramic beads and textile strips.
