Kilim of the tribes of Arab origin of southern Iran. This vintage kilim was handwoven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own hand-spun and carded wool.
This type of kilim is called “shiraki” in southern Iran, which literally means “needlework”, although they are woven on a loom. The central field, woven mainly from natural undyed wool, is made up of repeatedly woven bushes and the edge is formed by birds carrying goats on their backs.
