Kilim from the Qashqai tribe of southern Iran. This vintage kilim was handwoven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own hand-spun and carded wool.
The design consists of a repeated motif, but varying its color, size and distribution. The tile background has nice color changes called “abrash”. The dyes are partially natural.
