Kilim from the Qashqai tribe of southern Iran. This vintage kilim was handwoven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own hand-spun and carded wool. The main composition is three large diamonds, asymmetrical and different from each other, surrounded by half diamonds in contrasting colors, almost opposite like yin and yang (raw and very deep blue). In addition, small motifs have been arranged randomly distributed around the kilim. The brim is more formal and regular than the rest of the kilim. The wool is very finely spun so the kilim is of great quality.
