Kilim from the Qashqai tribe of southern Iran. This vintage kilim was handwoven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own hand-spun and carded wool. What is most striking about this kilim is the vivid orange color of the background accompanied by a deep blue. In the last part of the kilim (or the beginning of it) the weaver has used another shade of orange, which gives it a more tribal feeling.
