A Robust Vintage Baluch Kilim from Afghanistan
This vintage Baluch kilim from Afghanistan is distinguished by its thick, durable construction and practical character. The design is composed of bands of varying widths, each decorated with small repeating motifs.
The most colourful band features a striking chevron pattern. Within the green sections of the chevrons, a beautiful abrash can be appreciated, revealing the natural variations in the dyed wool.
The composition is framed by a simple, narrow border decorated with a zigzag motif.
Woven with a dense and sturdy handle, this kilim combines decorative appeal with exceptional durability. Its thick and solid construction makes it particularly well suited to hallways, living rooms, and other high-traffic areas where both beauty and resilience are required.
