A striking semi-antique Baluch rug in a neutral palette, with a dynamic and lively design. Woven entirely in just two colours — brown and beige — the weaver relied on bold, dramatic patterns to give the rug a strong visual presence.
In the upper section, a striking abrash, or natural variation in colour, appears across the brown field. Adding an unexpected touch, the weaver incorporated a series of star motifs that bring extra character and energy to the composition. This rug has a soft pile and still retains the kilim finishes at each side.
