kilim from the Lori or Luri tribe of Iran. This antique kilim was hand-woven by a nomadic or village woman, using her own hand-spun and carded wool. This kilim stands out for the three large medallions that occupy the entire central field. All dyes are natural. The weft, as seen in the fringes, is made of goat’s wool, the colored areas of sheep’s wool and the white one is natural undyed cotton.
