The revered American architecture critic and former professor Sarah Goldhagen’s home, a converted double height church, which she shares with her husband and children, is a perfect prototype for the design her book lobbies for: a tasteful mix of organic materials, natural light, and greenery.

Behind the sofa sits our patchwork, also made in a Fair Trade workshop in Turkey by Afghan refugees.
