A small Antique Baluch Kilim from Afganistan with a big personality
An unusual antique Beluch kilim from the Sistan region. Originally, this small, detailed, and charming piece was used as a bag, which has been carefully opened out to create a floor kilim. The use of green is particularly rare for this region, typically appearing only in kilims over 100 years old.
The lengthwise borders feature a different technique, adding subtle volume to the piece. All dyes are natural, enhancing its authenticity and character.
A highly versatile kilim, perfect for small spaces due to its size, yet striking for its blend of neutral and vibrant colors.
Material: 100% hand-spun sheep wool
Size: 79×42 cms
Origin: Baluch tribe from Afghanistan
Date of weaving: 1900
