Square Vintage Qashqai Kilim –  Iran

This rare, nearly square Qashqai kilim from southwestern Iran measures 150 × 150 cm and features a beautifully handwoven field in undyed natural white wool, giving it a clean, soft, and organic look.

At the center is a main medallion, framed by four additional medallions in each corner, creating a balanced and symmetrical composition. Along two of the borders, the weaver has incorporated bright chevron-style bands, adding rhythm and color to the otherwise neutral design.

With its vivid accents and compact square shape, this kilim is a perfect fit for a dark hallway, small square space, or a child’s bedroom—bringing warmth, color, and traditional charm.

A distinctive detail: the warps (visible in the fringes) are made from dark goat hair, known for its strength and durability, giving the piece structural integrity as well as visual contrast.

Material: 100% hand-spun sheep wool and goat hair for the warps

Size: 151×146 cms
