This vintage Tabriz rug from the 1970s features a background of undyed ivory wool. The weaver has used natural wool for the background, and it’s particularly intriguing that halfway through the weaving process, the color shifts from beige to a greyish tone (as seen in the photos).
The rug showcases the classic “Herati” pattern, intricately woven in a lattice design. Its fine craftsmanship is evident in the high knot count, highlighting the exceptional quality of the piece.
