Palas are a type of kilim woven to be used as a surface to do domestic activities within the nomadic community (dry vegetables, make cheese and so on). This original vintage kilim was hand-woven in Iran in the second half of the 20th century by a nomad or village woman by using her own hand-spun wool. Normally were woven with undyed wool, and a few colour touches were added.
This palas is characterised by the use of brown wool, creating thous elegant vertical lines.
