Antique Japanese Textiles - A Contemporary Aesthetic
We are pleased to invite you to the opening night of our exhibition "Antique Japanese Textiles - A Contemporary Aesthetic" on the 21st of November at 7:00 pm. We will be showing Samurai Outfits, Kimonos, Pilgrim Shirts, Shinto Temple Banners, Theatre Curtains, Noren (shop curtains), Wrapping Cloths, Futonji, Kesas and other textiles from day to day life in Old Japan. We will be accompanying the exhibition with the recent work of the Basque sculptor Koldobika Jauregi, whose work displays a marked oriental influence.
